MU Extension Council election is Jan. 19-26

The Ozark County Extension Council election will be held Jan. 19-26 at polling places around the county. The election is open to all Ozark County registered voters. Ballots with votes for candidates in both districts cannot be counted, an extension spokesperson said.

Voters will elect three candidates to two-year terms in their respective districts. The western district extends west from Highway 5 to the western border of Ozark County, including the city of Gainesville. The eastern district extends east of Highway 5 to the eastern border of the county, excluding the city of Gainesville.

Western District candidates are Robert Edwards, R. J. Moyers, Glen Plaster, Dale Schofield, John Steffensen and Marlin Wallace. Eastern district candidates are Lindsay Collins, Kenny Ericksen, Stacy Hambelton, Noel Luna, Basil Parris and Les Snorgrass.
