Two hurt after car pulls into path of motorcycle
A 39-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man from Teresita, Missouri, were transported by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains after sustaining injuries in a July 19 motorcycle vs. car collision near Dora.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s online crash report, the pair were driving a 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Highway 14, about five miles north of Dora, at 4:20 p.m. July 19, when a 2010 Pontiac G6 pulled into their path. The motorcycle rear ended the car, overturning the bike and ejecting both riders. The car was driven by a 21-year-old woman from West Plains, the report says.
The man, who was driving the motorcycle, sustained minor injuries, while the woman who was riding as a passenger was seriously injured. The woman in the car was uninjured. Both the car and the bike sustained minor damage and were removed from the scene by private parties.
