A big thank you to GHS track athletes for helping our dad
Recently, while at a track meet in Cuba, Missouri, three Gainesville High School athletes were walking on Fair Stair, next to the track, when they saw our 89-year-old father fall backwards onto his concrete driveway. They rushed to help him and called their trainer over, who also assisted him. He scratched the back of his head and has some bruised ribs.
These athletes could have kept walking by without helping. These words aren’t enough to show how much we appreciate the help and the care they have shown to our dad. Thank you Anna Klessig, Archer Luna and Jessica Suit and their trainer Anna Kimbrough. You all made a difference that day. It is very much appreciated.
To the parents of the young adults, you’ve raised some amazing and thoughtful children. To their coaches, Gary Emrick and David Murphy, you have raised up some amazing athletes with higher standards than just track and field. They went above and beyond.
Thank you, Anna, Archer and Jessica!
