‘Unite to Worship’ was a special, inspiring event

During the week of Oct. 23-27 fellow brothers and sisters in Christ felt the joy of attending a revival of unity here in Ozark County. Folks from at least six different churches gathered together to hear powerful messages at each of the four hosting churches. Each pastor – Halbert Smith, Bruce DeWeese, Ron Felker and Davin Friend – shared their message of hope at their home church.

Although each church has subtle differences, the messages were clear. We all serve one Lord and one God. We all carry the same faith and hope. We all believe in salvation in baptism. We can unite together in spirit to make our community a better place. The events of the week brought joy to the heart and soul. The enjoyable fellowship after the services continued to unite us.

It was a wonderful experience and very well planned. Overheard in conversations, many would like to do this again soon. A big thank you to the Ministerial Alliance and all others who wanted to make the event a success and blessing. We appreciate the pastors who worked in unity to bring us all together.

I’d challenge other churches to join in and step up to participate in these events. Maybe another event can be held in the spring.
