NEW COACHES:Lady Bulldogs basketball

The Gainesville School District recently announced that it has hired Nathan Houk as the head Gainesville Lady Bulldogs basketball coach.
He has coached basketball at the junior high and high school levels for more than 30 years as an assistant and head coach.
“I believe in strong fundamentals and tough defense,” Houk said. “I look forward to taking over the girls basketball program... The Gainesville School District has a rich tradition of academic and athletic excellence, and I am very excited to teach and coach in the district.”
