Lady Bulldogs end regular season with 12-7 record

The Lady Bulldogs softball team came away with wins over Blue Eye and Fordland last week to end their regular season with a record of 12-7.  They played Blue Eye last Monday and came away with a 14-1 victory.

“We hit the ball better this game. Hadley Warden, Lakely Anderson, and Katelyn Morgan all did a good job at the plate. On the rubber, Katelyn Morgan only surrendered one hit and the run that scored was unearned. She also struck out six Blue Eye batters on the day.”

Last Wednesday the Lady Bulldogs traveled to Fordland to take on the Lady Eagles. “The Lady Eagles jumped out to a 2-4 lead after three innings on us. We managed to get things going in the fourth with a key double by Lakely Anderson and some more help from Emma McGinnis and Kelsie Hogan at the plate to score five runs. Katelyn was her normal self on the rubber giving up only one earned run and striking out eight to give us an 8-4 victory.” The Lady Bulldogs started district play on Monday against the Dora Lady Falcons (see page 1).
