As Hootin an Hollarin nears, Gainesville School gears curriculum to local heritage

Just in time for Hootin an Hollarin, Gainesville Elementary coach and P.E. teacher Misti Eslinger has been working with students in grades 3-6 teaching them the art of square dancing. The group starts the dance lessons in a big circle. Square dancing at Hootin an Hollarin is a favorite event of many children, as kids of all ages can be seen every evening on the dance platforms. Eslinger said it is a fun and healthy thing for kids.
