GHS students medal at Summit Conference math competition

Gainesville High School math students took third place overall at the Summit Conference math competition held at Fordland Wednesday, March 20. Medal winners for individual events include Isaac Pippin, second place in Algebra II; Kyden Myers, third place in Geometry; Jeremy Kesner, fourth place in Algebra; Nathan Kiger, fifth place in Trigonometry; and Imomdod Odinaev, fifth place in Advanced Math. In the team events, Gainesville took second place in Geometry, third place in Algebra II, third place in Trigonometry, and fifth place in both Algebra and Advanced Math. GHS math teacher Alison Decker added that Gainesville was the only school to earn points in every event offered at the competition.
