Gainesville senior javelin thrower takes 9th in state

Gainesville High School senior Macray Hambelton capped off his high school track and field career with a strong performance at the 2026 Class 2 State Championships, finishing ninth in the state with a throw of 159 feet, 6 inches. Carter Vroman of Fayette High School took first place with a throw of 192 feet 9 inches.
