Gainesville Lady Bulldogs come out on top in Jan. 11 game against Dora Lady Falcons

In a cross-county battle against the Dora Lady Falcons on Thursday, Jan. 11, the GHS Lady Bulldogs brought home its eighth win of the season with a score of 40-29. 

GHS senior Jillian Morse led the Bulldogs’ scoring with 11 points, followed by Andrea Winrod with 9 and Sarah Hossman with 8. Freshman Addie Alms scored 6, and Kelsie Hogan and Laney Suter chipped in 3 each. Addie Alms led in rebounds with 9, followed by Andrea Winrod with 5. Jillian Morse led in assists with 4.

Dora’s Kinley Luna and Natasha Slavik scored 13 points each for the Falcons and Mia Gray added 3. Leading the rebounding column was Natasha Slavik with 9, followed by Kinley Luna with 7 and Ellie Ullom with 6.

The Lady Bulldogs were slated to head into this week with play in the Cabool Classic tournament, scheduled to begin Monday, but as of presstime, the opening round game had been postponed due to weather and road conditions. Gainesville, the number two seed, will face number seven seed Koshkonong in the first round.
