Gainesville boys play in Forsyth tournament

The Gainesville Bulldogs headed to Taney County Monday, Nov. 27 to compete in the 63rd Annual Forsyth Tournament. The Bulldogs, seeded in the number five spot, took on host Forsyth, seeded fourth, and came away with a hard-fought 79-70 victory. 

Gainesville had five players scoring in the double digits, led by Easton McGee with a game-high of 28. Nathan Kiger scored 12, followed by Grant Leeker with 11 and Owen Donley and Andrew Hambelton both chipped in 10 each. Hambelton led in rebounds with 8, followed by McGee and Hunter Luna with 7 each.

The win takes them to Friday’s 6 p.m. quarter-final game against number one seed Carl Junction, who defeated Hollister 87-45 Monday night.
