Bulldogs beat Pirates in first game of Summit Conference tournament

Bulldog senior pitcher Dawson Hewett hurls one over the plate at the Gainesville ball park during Monday evening’s 5-2 win over the Norwood Pirates in the first game of the Summit Conference Tournament. The Gainesville team brought their record to 12-5 with the win and traveled to Hartville Tuesday evening to take on Fordland (10-4). Results of the game were not available at presstime but will be included in next week’s edition.
