Jalen Evans and Shelby Smith were engaged on March 5 on the Evans’ farm. Jalen, son of Darin and Teresa Evans of Gainesville, is a 2020 graduate of Gainesville High School. Shelby, daughter of Kim and Karla Smith of Gainesville, is a 2018 graduate of Gainesville High School.
