Tomlinson takes 9th and 15th in two events

After dominating the sectional competition and earning two first place medals in both the 1600 and 3200 meter races, Dora High School’s Daniel Tomlinson came to the Class 1 state track meet ready to compete. He finished in ninth place in the 3200 meter run with a time of 10 minutes 16.94 seconds. First place in that event went to William Twiss of Thomas Jefferson Independent with a time of 9 minutes 34.02 seconds. He also took 15th place in the boys 1600 meter race with a time of 4 minutes 53.93 seconds. First place went to Graham Nord of Luthern High School of Kansas City with a time of 4 minutes and 23.75 seconds. 

Kinley Luna comes in 14th in state for 800m race

Dora High School’s Kinley Luna took 14th place in the girls 800 meter race in the 2026 Class 2 state championship with a time of 2 minutes and 41.85 seconds. First place was secured by Reagan Meyer of St. Vincent High School with a time of 2 minutes 13.46 seconds.

DHS boys 4x800m relay team takes 15th place

The Dora High School boys 4x800 meter relay team took 15th place in the 2026 Class 1 state competition with a time of 9 minutes and 8.98 seconds. First place went to Thomas Jefferson Independent with a time of 8 minutes and 1.62 seconds.
