Dora Falcons track and field team ends sectionals with 10 state qualifiers
The Dora Falcons track and field team competed in the 2024 Class 1 Sectional 1 competition last Saturday in Mokane and came away with 10 state-qualifying performances. Those competitors will continue on to the Class 1 state competition May 17-18 in Jefferson City.
Dora junior Cade Nold took the top spot in two events. He ran the 400 meter dash in 50.58 seconds, more than two seconds faster than the next competitor, Namarius Warren from Scott County Central High School, who had a 52.43 second performance. Cade also ran the 800 meter race in 2:06.25, five seconds faster than second place’s Tremell Liddel of Hayti High School.
Also coming home with first-place bragging rights was the Dora Lady Falcons 4x800 meter relay team, who raced the sport in 11:06.53, nearly 9 seconds faster than New Haven High School’s second-place relay team.

• Isabelle Martin, 1600 meter girls, fifth place, 6:19.55;
• Haley Perkins, javelin girls, fifth place, 29.9 meters.
• Joshua Nold, 800 meter run boys, fifth place, 2:17.49;
Sixth place
• 4x200 meter girls relay team, sixth place, 2:00.41;
Seventh place
• 4x200 boys relay team, seventh place, 1:44.71.
