Dora Falcons baseball team goes 1-1 at Champs Wood Bat Weekend

The Dora Falcons traveled to Mountain View to compete at the Champs Wood Bat Weekend on Friday, March 21.

In the first game, Dora faced Liberty, who held the Falcons scoreless and took an 11-0 win.

In game two, Dora’s bats came alive against the Wildcats, and the Falcons brought home a 9-6 win.

“Liam Gray pitched an outstanding game against the Wildcats, going four and two-thirds innings,” said Dora Coach Stetson Neldon. “Blake Uhlmann closed out the game, going the last one and a third innings. Several players got hits, scored runs and made plays in the field.”

The Falcons added another win to their record on Monday, March 24 when they hosted the Summersville Wildcats and held them scoreless, winning 10-0.

Dora will host the Alton Comets Friday, March 28 and will travel to Thayer on Monday, March 31.
