Warrant issued for domestic assault on Christmas Eve

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Dustin Hudspeth, who has been charged with first-degree domestic assault, armed criminal action, third-degree domestic assault and abuse of the elderly, in connection with a Christmas Eve incident at his mother’s house in Pottersville.

He is ordered to be held without bond until his first court hearing.

According to the probable cause statement prepare by Ozark County Sheriff’s Deputy Cecilia Boatner, the incident occurred around 11:45 a.m. Dec. 24, 2021.

The report says Hudspeth texted his family members that day and said he was going to kill his brother.

It says he then “busted through the door” of his mother’s home, chased a relative through the house with a knife and shoved another family member who was trying to get him to drop the knife and stop.

The report says there were two small children at the home at the time of the incident.
