Sex offender arrested for not registering, living near school

The Ozark County Sheriff's Department arrested Albert Struckle Feb. 7 after it received several anonymous tips that he was living within the 1,000 feet of Lutie School in Theodosia.
Struckle is a sex offender and therefore prohibited from residing within that distance from any school.
Deputy James Fountain conducted an investigation and discovered Struckle was not only in violation of his sex offender restrictions, but he had also failed to update his address in the sex offender registry after moving several weeks earlier.
Last Tuesday, Deputy Josh Sherman located Struckle and arrested him for failure to register as a sex offender and living within 1,000 feet of a school, as a sex offender.
Struckle was convicted of possessing child pornography of a 14-year-old girl in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, in 2014 when he was 33.
He is listed as a Tier III sex offender by the MSHP sex offender registry office. Tier III offenders have a lifetime registration requirement and must report to chief law enforcement officials (CLEO), in person every 90 days. Tier III offenders are not eligible to file petition for removal from the sex offender registry unless the requirement to register results from an adjudicated delinquent (juvenile) adjudication, after 25 years, and the clean record removal is met.
