Pair arrested for meth, paraphernalia

Larry Sanders

Sandra Coons

Larry Sanders, 71, and Sandra Coons, 56, are both ordered to appear in Ozark County Court before Associate Judge Raymond Gross Dec. 10, in a case in which they’re charged with possession of methamphetamine and a misdemeanor charge of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the probable cause statement, prepared by Ozark County Deputy Josh Sherman, on Nov. 18, the Ozark County Sheriff’s Department executed a residential narcotics search warrant at a residence in Isabella. Both Sanders and Coons were on the property.

Sanders was located in an exterior shed, which was locked from the outside. Ryan secured him in handcuffs without incident after making entry into the shed. Coons was found in the main bedroom of the residence and was secured without incident.

Once the scene was secured, Coons was read her Miranda rights and advised that she had an active felony warrant for her arrest.

The following items were seized: two black TCL cell phones, a black Samsung phone, a blue call phone that field-tested positive for meth in the bedroom where Coons was arrested and purple pen that field-tested positive for methamphetamine was found in a trash can in the shed where Sanders was locked inside.

Both were arrested and transported to the Ozark County Jail for processing pending formal charges.
