Isabella man faces 7 new weapons charges

Simon Sullivan
When Ozark County deputies arrived at Simon Sullivan’s Isabella home with a search warrant last week, the 49-year-old reportedly admitted he had firearms inside - a problem, investigators say, because he’s a convicted felon.
According to the probable cause statement prepared by Ozark County Deputy Gannon Moss, just before 6 p.m. Oct. 8, deputies executed a search warrant at Sullivan’s home on Mule Barn Lane in Isabella.
“Upon arrival, Simon was located outside the residence. He immediately inquired if deputies were there for him. I informed him that we were present to execute a search warrant. When Sullivan asked the purpose of the warrant, another deputy advised him that it was related to drugs and firearms. Sullivan voluntarily disclosed that he had firearms inside his trailer, stating they were in a condition unfit for use.
During the subsequent search of the residence, deputies retrieved these firearms and he transported them to his current residence for storage, Moss’s report says.
Sullivan is a convicted felon, therefore it is illegal for him to possess any firearms.
All firearms found during the search were collected as evidence. Sullivan was transported to the jail where he was held on a $3,500 cash only bond. He is charged with seven counts of unlawful possession of a firearm.
He was scheduled to be arraigned in the case Tuesday morning before Associate Judge Raymond Gross. Details of the hearing were not available at presstime.
