Tecumseh Assistant Fire Chief JB Duke, who owns Duke’s Towing, shared the above photo of a vehicle after it careened off County Road 354, on the KK Highway side of the North Fork of the White River, near the Blair Bridge access last Sunday, June 29.
This week’s sheriff’s report says the incident was first reported to the Ozark County Sheriff’s Department just after 4 p.m. Sunday, June 29. The caller said a man in a single cab pickup flipped the truck on the corner near the access. The caller reportedly said the driver was responsive and out of the vehicle, although he was cut up some.
Ozark County Ambulance, Dora VFD, Bakersfield VFD and Duke’s Towing responded to the scene. The caller later told a dispatcher that the driver left in a red pickup. After arriving, the ambulance left the scene, as there was no patient there anymore.
The Dora VFD posted to its Facebook page after the incident that this weekend’s rains caused some damage to the bluffside shoulder of the road, which runs just above the river. They advised drivers to use extra caution if traveling in that area. The Dora VFD said they also contacted the Missouri Departmen of Transportation about the roadway.
