Zanoni news: May 23, 2018

The past few days we have had around 4 inches of rain. So good.
Paul and I went to West Plains to get some chemicals to spray the foxtail grass that has come into the Bermuda grass.
Friday evening, Kevin Kastning came by to return some supplies to the shop. He had visited his mother, Pat, and sister, Irene, in Arkansas a few days ago.
The new things that have showed up out front are the lightning bugs.
Ray McDaniel, Dave and Mary Morrison, Paul and I went to church at Elijah Sunday night. They were starting a Vacation Bible School class for four nights.
Paul and the boys have been working cattle this week. Also, Paul spread some lime.
Leroy and Norma Morrison attended Norma’s granddaughter’s high school graduation in Springfield Saturday night.
On Saturday, Paul and I met Casey and Chris at Cheddar’s in Springfield for dinner. We had a good visit, and Chris returned to Columbia on Sunday.
I had a call from Orin Robinson, my cousin, last week. He and Imogene live in Arkansas. Due to health problems, they will not be able to attend the Morrison reunion Sunday at Smith Chapel.
Everyone drive careful if you travel on the holiday.
