Lions open season this week

The Bakersfield Lions opened their 2022-23 high school basketball campaign on Tuesday night hosting the Alton Comets. Results from that game were not available at press time Tuesday.
The Lions will travel to Greenville on Saturday and will compete in the Mansfield Invitational Tournament Dec. 6-9.
The Lady Lions begin their season at Mountain Home (Ark.) Christian Academy on Nov. 29.
