Lions lose 4 in a row (week of 5/1/23)

The once red hot Bakersfield Lions, who were 7-1 on the year in mid April, have now lost four straight to fall to 7-5.
Bakersfield’s most recent loss was at the hands of the 8-8 Willow Springs Bears on April 28.
The Bears blanked the Lions 6-0.
The Lions have a busy week ahead with games against Liberty, Dora, Norwood and Winona before competing May 15-17 in the Class 2 District 10 Tournament.
The Lady Lions’ softball squad improved to 10-5 with a win Monday over the Alton Lady Comets, 11-7.
Bakersfield will compete in districts later this week.
