Gainesville issued licenses to 53 businesses for 2024
During the April 9 Gainesville City Council meeting, Mayor Gail Reich read the following list of current businesses operating inside the city limits. The list included 53 businesses, compared with 54 businesses last year.
New businesses
New businesses added to the list, meaning they’ve opened since the business listing was read in February 2023, are:
• Crossroads Drips & Dips,
• Jason’s Mexican Restaurant,
• Ozarks Healthcare Thrift Store and
• Alpine Shaved Ice.
Closed businesses
Businesses that were issued a license last year but were not issued one this year, presuming they’ve closed, are:
• Bouquet Palace,
• Papcke’s Dealz and Stealz,
• Shenanigans/BNT Payday Loans,
• Splendid Graze and
• Smokin’ Joes BBQ.
Change in ownership/name
Businesses that transferred ownership or are doing business under a new name are:
• Ozarks Healthcare Pharmacy (formerly Court Square Pharmacy),
• USA Investments/White Oak Station (formerly Bullseye stations) and
• Brightspeed Internet (formerly Centurylink).
