Smoking Guns Concessions serves up tasty BBQ and burgers at Theodosia food truck

Carrie Brewer, center, owns the Smoking Guns Concessions food truck with husband C. J. Wright. She’s pictured here with their daughter Wendy, far left, Niko the greyhound mascot and Pamela Hill, a graphic designers who helped design the signage on the truck.

Those traveling down Highway 160 in Theodosia have likely spotted the Smoking Guns Concessions food truck parked at Hometown Hardware. It’s hard to miss.

The lime green trailer is eye catching, but it’s what is served up inside that will really make you take notice.

Menu

Smoking Guns features an affordable and varied menu.

Sandwich options include traditional cheeseburgers with the fixings, a smoked meatloaf sandwich with choice of sauce, a smoked chicken breast sandwich and a smoked pulled pork sandwich with barbecue sauce and slaw.

Other menu options include a loaded baked potato, piled high with smoked pulled pork, cheese, sour cream and topped with either barbecue sauce or ranch dressing or loaded nachos topped with choice of pulled pork or smoked chicken, sour cream, cheese and barbecue sauce. A 3-rib basket with sauce rounds out the main menu.

For those wanting a different type of meal, salads can ordered topped with pulled pork, smoked chicken breast or shredded smoked ribs.

All of the above food choices are priced at $5. Guests can make any menu option a meal for $8 by adding two of the food truck’s side dishes: french fries, smoked mac and cheese, potato salad, baked beans, baked potato or corn on the cobb.

Kids meals of chicken nuggets or corn dogs are available for $5 with fries and a drink.

Cold drinks and slushies are always available as an add on, as well as french vanilla cappuccino.

Come visit

The food truck is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

Owners C.J. Wright and wife Carrie Brewer say that the name “Smoking Guns” was chosen as a way to honor veterans, military and first responders. In that effort, the business offers its meals to veterans, active military and their family for half off, and all drinks are free to those actively serving as a first responder.

To find out more, follow the “Smoking Guns Concession” Facebook page or call the food truck at 417-712-0913.
