A completely packed house turned out for the 50th anniversary celebration of the Gainesville Elementary School’s Grandparents Day program held Friday, March 9. Grades K-6 performed a concert under the direction of GES music teacher Laura Guin. Food service director Cindy Potter and the cafeteria staff served a roast turkey lunch to more than 400 grandparents. Gainesville High School FFA members directed traffic and helped in the cafeteria.
