She was born Nov. 19, 1936, in Everett, Washington, the daughter of Ballard Matthew and Aloysia Lucille Juneau Kesner.
She was raised in Tecumseh and was a 1954 graduate of Gainesville High School. She moved to Kansas City to work for Westinghouse, and while there she met James Raymond “Jim” Swab. In 1981, they moved to the Lake of the Ozarks, where she spent many years as an activities director for the Laurie Care Center.
Mrs. Swab was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church while they lived at the lake, and she was able to receive sacraments at her home in Kansas City as her health declined.
