Shirley Kaye McFee, 72

Shirley Kaye McFee, 72 of Gainesville, died Nov. 21, 2018. Services will be announced at a later date. 

She was born Aug. 30, 1946, in Colby, Kansas, the daughter of Malcolm and Betty Anderson McFee. She was raised in Atwood, Kansas.

On Dec. 31, 1965, she married Howard VanHorn; they had three children together.

She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crafting. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She will be dearly missed.  

She is survived by her daughter, Sherri VanHorn, and her son, Shawn VanHorn and wife Tina;  grandchildren Michaela Chaufe, Tristan Warren and husband Michael, Alexia Hadley and husband Christian, Christina VanTassel, Kyra VanHorn, Kaitlyn VanTassel, Demi VanHorn, Austin VanTassel and Carrie VanTassel; eight great-grandchildren: Jayda, Lyric, Talon, Aysia, Nevaeh, Trinity, Dreyken, and Odin; and three sisters, Sharron Sandefer of Gainesville, Linda Ramsey and Beverly Drain, both of Atwood, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Shelli Troutman.
