Patricia Schultz, 84
A graveside service for Patricia Elaine Jackson Schultz, 84, of O’Fallon, Illinois, formerly of Pontiac, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, at Pontiac Cemetery in Pontiac with Dale Roberts officiating. Funeral services are scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at the Chapel at First Baptist Church O’Fallon, 1111 E. Highway 50 in O’Fallon. The Rev. Skip Leininger will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to service time Thursday at the church. Mrs. Schultz died Aug. 18 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon.
She was born Jan. 11, 1934, in Highland Park, Michigan, the daughter of Frederick and Cather Poole Jackson. She grew up in Pontiac, Michigan, and moved to St. Louis as a young woman. She and her former husband, Robert “Bob” Schultz, enjoyed fishing at Bull Shoals Lake, and in 1964, they bought the property known for many years as Home Comfort Resort in Pontiac, where they raised their four boys.
After relocating several times in support of her son John and his family during his military career, Mrs. Schultz settled in the O’Fallon area near Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. She had been a bus driver and enjoyed crafts, quilting and crocheting. She especially enjoyed her friends at First Baptist Church O’Fallon, where she attended regularly for many years.
Survivors include her sons John Schultz and wife Sandra of Lewisville, Texas, Dan Schultz and Nancy Hannaford of Pontiac, and David Schultz of Mulberry, Florida; grandchildren Kirsten Cotter, Darren Johnson and wife Kim, Justin Hannaford and wife Christina, Kayla Meharg, Stephanie Schultz and Rafael Amaya; 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Robert Schultz; her son, Robby Schultz; and her grandson, John Schultz II.
