Michael Lynn Dudgeon, 66

Michael Lynn Dudgeon, 66, of Gamaliel, Arkansas, died May 11, 2019, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. At his request, burial was private.

He was born Nov. 1, 1952, in Mendota, Illinois, the son of Albert and Lois Kisch Dudgeon. He attended high school in Mountain Home, Arkansas, but returned to Illinois for his senior year and graduated in Wheaton, Illinois. 

Later, he came back to this area and lived in Gamaliel for 40 years. Mr. Dudgeon was a hands-on carpenter who enjoyed working in his wood shop. He loved working with wood, and he created many beautiful tables, cedar and oak chests and other pieces. He sold his furniture in West Plains and also made furniture for family members and friends. Some of the items he made will be sold at the Triple Treasures Marketplace at Hardenville June 7-9. He also loved fishing.

Survivors include a brother, Dan Dudgeon and wife Judy of Acton, Massachusetts; two sisters, June Rowlett and husband Jerry of Howards Ridge and Judy Lane and husband Kerry of Benton, Arkansas; a stepbrother, Jim Dudgeon and wife Sujin of Niceville, Florida; a stepsister, Deb Smith and husband Dick of Clinton, Arkansas; and good friend Bobbie Burchard of Mountain Home.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a stepmother, Dona Dudgeon.
