Mary Beth Roberts, 76

Private services will be held for Mary Beth Roberts, 76, of Pontiac, who died Dec. 9, 2017, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

She was born Nov 11, 1941, in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of Dale D. and Esther Bartelmay. She graduated from Minier (Illinois) High School in 1959. On Feb. 20, 1960, in Minier, she married Rondell Roberts. They lived in Minier until they moved to Pontiac in 1993.

Mrs. Roberts was a homemaker, and she served as treasurer for the Pontiac Price Place Volunteer Fire Department for the last 20 years. She was also president of the Pontiac Ladies Club. She was a member of the Pontiac Price Place Church. She was a loving parent, devoted spouse and committed community member. She loved her children and grandchildren. She would help anyone without questions, serving others with a heart of gold. Her hobby was her family and her community and the people living in it.

She is survived by her husband Ron; her sons Terry of Emden, Illinois, and Thomas of Pontiac; grandchildren Brody and Cortney, Christen, Jesse, and Alissa and Kevin; and great-grandchildren Lucas, Isaac, Isabella, Evalyn and Estella.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and one son, James Shannon Roberts.

Memorial contributions may be made to Pontiac Price Place Church, Pontiac Ladies Club or Pontiac Price Place VFD.
