Lula Pauline Wallace, 83
Funeral services for Lula Pauline Wallace, 83, of Raytown, are scheduled for 2 p.m. today, May 16, 2018, at Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill. Mrs. Wallace died May 11 at her daughter’s home in Pleasant Hill.
She was born July 5, 1934, in Ozark County, the daughter of Doin Vernie and Lela Uldena Scott Watson. She was a 1952 graduate of Gainesville High School. In December 1952 in Mountain Home, Arkansas, she married Lexie Sterlin Wallace; they later divorced.
Mrs. Wallace was employed as an assembly line worker for Western Electric in Lee’s Summit. She had also co-owned and operated Club 82 in Osceola and was a hostess at the Copper Kettle in Raytown. She enjoyed square dancing, browsing antique shops and collecting antique glassware, and she owned lots of Longaberger baskets. She liked to read, enjoyed her home and loved spending time with family.
She is survived by her son, Lexie Wallace and wife Elizabeth of Raytown; two daughters, Pamela Smith and husband Ralph of Overland Park, Kansas, and Nelita Greufe and husband Steve of Pleasant Hill; eight grandchildren, David Jones and wife Jennifer of Overland Park, Bethany Smith and husband Bill of Platte City, Daniel Webster and wife Katherine of Alexandria, Virginia, Blake Greufe and Brett Greufe, both of Pleasant Hill, Clint Wallace of Kansas City, Candyss Camarda and husband Ross of Grain Valley, and John Smith and wife Kate of Kansas City; 10 great-grandchildren, Christian Jones, Elyse Jones, Annabelle Jones, Hudson Jones, Liberty Smith, Justice Smith, Emily Camarda, Jane Camarda, Celia Camarda and Ian Smith; three brothers, Delmas Watson of Noble, Darrel Watson and wife Gina of Nottinghill, and H.B. Watson and wife Carol of Lee’s Summit; three sisters, Lorine Huitt of Leavenworth, Kansas, Evelyn Evans of Squires and Jenice Pollock and husband Johnny of Blum, Texas; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Alice and Maggie Lou.
