Lonnie E. Crisp, 75

A graveside funeral service for Lonnie E. Crisp, 75, of Caulfield, was held Sept. 16, 2019, in the Sanders Cemetery south of Gainesville with Rodger Hickerson officiating. Mr. Crisp died Sept. 9 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield. 

He was born Feb. 14, 1944, in Gainesville, the son of Hayes and Marie Collins Crisp. He was a graduate of Gainesville High School. He loved to fish and garden. He was a kind and gentle man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone.

He is survived by his mother, Marie Crisp of Gainesville; his sister, LaRane Wright of Zanoni; his brother, Leon Crisp of Gainesville; two nieces, Kim Hickerson and husband Rodger, and Peggy Williams and husband David; nephew Robert Crisp and wife Krista; great-niece Riley Williams; and great-nephew Alex Crisp.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hayes Crisp; his wife, Sharon Crisp; one sister, Judy Crisp; a brother, Edward Crisp; brother-in-law Russell Wright; and two great-nephews, Rodger Neil Hickerson and Tyler Hickerson.

Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
