Linna Rae Fleetwood, 80

Funeral services for Linna Rae Fleetwood, 80, of Squires, were held June 16, 2020, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava with the Rev. Gary Hall and Pastor Dale Schofield officiating. Mrs. Fleetwood died June 12 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield with her family by her side.

She was born Nov. 8, 1939, in Rockbridge, the daughter of Charley and Garrie Hoover Byerley.

On Aug. 26, 1961, in Ava, she married Burney Fleetwood  with the Rev. Charles Silvey officiating. 

Mrs. Fleetwood was a Christian and a member of the Murray Church in Squires. She enjoyed quilting, talking on the phone and playing crossword puzzles. Her joy was her family. She was devoted to them, especially her granddaughters, Rayonna and Rachael.

She is survived by her two children and their spouses, Danny Fleetwood and wife Cindy and Janice Garner and husband Dan; two granddaughters, Rayonna  and Rachael Garner; five step-grandchildren, Joseph, Jacob, Tabitha, Matthew, and Jamie; and several nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Burney, who died in 2008; one brother, Adrian Byerley; and one sister, Lucille Caudill. 

Burial was in the Murray Cemetery at Squires. Memorial contributions may be made to the family as a love offering for her granddaughters. Online condolences may be expressed at clinkingbeardfuneralhome.com.
