Lewayne Lewis, 46
Funeral services for Lewayne Lewis, 46, of Watts, Oklahoma, were held Sept. 16, 2019, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, with Bud Vickery officiating. Mr. Lewis died Sept. 6 at his home.
He was born March 8, 1973, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, the son of Denny Barnett and Rutha Anderson Lewis. He grew up in Gainesville and was raised by his mother and stepfather, Jerry “Red” Lewis. On Dec. 27, 1994, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, he married Michelle Peters.
Mr. Lewis worked at Franklin Electric for eight years, and when the plant closed, he purchased a carpet cleaning business, Luper Carpet Cleaning.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle; two sons, Trey Lewis and wife Sarah of Siloam Springs, and Colton Lewis and wife Clarise of Rocky Mountain, Oklahoma; his mother, Rutha Lewis of Westville, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Theo Lewis and Roman Miles-Lewis; two brothers, Jerry Allen Lewis of Mansfield, and Jerry “Pete” Lewis of Westville; a sister, Nancy Lewis of Westville; a half-sister, Angie Wirtz of Sedalia; a half-brother, Drew Barnett of Sedalia; his mother-in-law, Darlene Peters of Westville; a sister-in-law, Monica Peters of Siloam Springs; and a nephew, Tyler Rainer, and niece, Tabitha Bible.
He was preceded in death by his father and his stepfather.
Burial was in Westville Cemetery, Westville, Oklahoma.
