Kenneth Ferd Bushong, 77

Funeral services for Kenneth Ferd Bushong, 77, of Brixey, were held Feb. 13, 2018, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava with E. J. Hampton officiating. Mr. Bushong died Feb. 8 at his home.

He was born Oct. 12, 1940, in Ozark County, the son of Floyd and Ola Scott Bushong. He was a graduate of Gainesville High School.  In 1973 in Gainesville, he married Betty Medlock.

Mr. Bushong was a bulldozer operator and a farmer. He was also a Christian and enjoyed attending churches in his area. He loved playing the mandolin, guitar and fiddle and attended several weekly jam sessions around the Ozarks. He also enjoyed his pony teams and wagon. He had a love for horse trading and auctions.

He is survived by his daughter, Shaunna Dennis of Springfield; one grandson, Klayton Dennis of Springfield; and many extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Al Bushong.
