June Louise Baker, 76

Funeral services for June Louise Baker, 76, of Howards Ridge, were held Oct. 30, 2017, at Clarkridge Baptist Church in Clarkridge, Arkansas, with Tim Moore officiating. Mrs. Baker died Oct. 24 at NHC Healthcare in West Plains.

She was born Feb. 11, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Raymond Rader and Louise Goff. 

Mrs. Baker worked many years as a waitress. On July 4, 1981, in Las Vegas, Nevada, she married Herman Baker. They lived in Bishop, California, and moved around the country until buying property in Missouri. They built a home near Howards Ridge. Mrs. Baker loved her family and also loved spending time with her “nature” family. She enjoyed watching the deer and other wildlife that visited their property. She also enjoyed watching her favorite shows, reading detective stories and especially playing Bingo. She loved her Bingo family in Mountain Home, Arkansas, and enjoyed all the time she spent with them. 

She is survived by her husband, Herman Baker, of the home in Howards Ridge; her daughters Chryl Ann Davis of Lompoc, California, Carmel Amorosano of Orcutt, California, Linde Vierra of Orcutt, California, and Ella May Manning of Burlington, Iowa; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by one sister, Pat Rader, who died Oct. 22; one son, Dane Brookshear; one brother, Raymond Rader Jr.; and her mother, Louise Goff.

Burial was in the Howards Ridge Cemetery.
