Joan M. Iseminger, 93

A memorial service for Joan M. Iseminger, 93 of Palatka, Florida, formerly of Pontiac, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Craig’s Funeral Home in St. Augustine. A graveside service will be held in the fall at Price Place Cemetery in Arkansas south of Pontiac. Mrs. Iseminger died June 11, 2018, in Florida.
She was born Sept. 17, 1924, in Palatka, the daughter of Madalene and John “Judge” D. Hodge Sr and
She and her late husband, Marvin Iseminger, were longtime residents of Pontiac. After purchasing Blue Top Resort in Pontiac in 1979 they became active members of the community. The Isemingers were among a group of volunteers who organized the Pontiac/Price Place Volunteer Fire Department and remained active members for many years. She was a long-time member of the Pontiac Ladies Club and attended the Price Place Church, serving as treasurer for many years.
Mrs. Iseminger loved the beauty of the Ozarks and enjoyed everyone she met. She was always up for visiting with guests on her deck overlooking Bull Shoals Lake.  She enjoyed gardening and reading, but her real passion was dogs. She would never be without one for very long.
In August 2017, Mrs. Iseminger moved back to her birth state to spend her remaining days with her family.  
She is survived by her son, Michael Iseminger Sr and wife Bobbi of Tallahassee, Florida; a sister, Lorraine Ruhl of Ormond Beach, Florida; grandchildren Cyndi Brownlee and husband Mike of St. Augustine, Florida, Ron Iseminger of Crescent City, Florida, Michael Iseminger Jr  and wife Heather of Eustis, Florida, and Kimberly Bell and husband James of Duluth, Georgia; daughter-in-law Micky Iseminger of Rogersville and former daughter-in-law Betty Andrews and husband Jerry of Crescent City, Florida; four great-grandchildren, Brandon Hale, Brittany Wilson, Isabella Iseminger and Caleb Iseminger; and two great-great-grandchildren, Payton and Colton Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin Iseminger; one son, Ross Iseminger; and one brother, Douglas Hodge.
