Hyrum Dwayne Prince, 49

Funeral services for Hyrum Dwayne Prince, 49, of Springfield, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020, at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home in Springfield. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Prince died Feb. 5 at his home. 

He was born March 12, 1970, in Las Vegas, Nevada, the son of Orien and Lucille Prince. The family moved to Utah then to Ozark County, settling in Ocie. They then moved to Nevada before moving back to Ocie. 

Mr. Prince spent most of his younger years in Ozark County and graduated from Gainesville High School in 1988. He proudly served his country in the Navy and later worked for Tuthill Corporation, building pumps. 

He loved riding his motorcycle and singing karaoke with his loved ones. He is loved and will be missed dearly by everyone who knew him. 

He is survived by his mother, Lucille Prince of Elijah; his children Elijah Prince and Cheyenne Stearns, both of Springfield; stepdaughters Ashley Chase and Alicia Racine, both of Mountain Home, Arkansas; sister Lois Clayton and boyfriend Jerry Silzell of Elijah; nieces Cally Jo Clayton and fiance Jared Welch of Gainesville, and Sara Beth Collins; nephew Kyle Clayton and wife Darian of Elijah; five great-nieces; and his girlfriend, Lorna Coyne. 

He was preceded in death by his father.

Burial with full military honors will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Rd. in Springfield.
