Harry V. Davidson, 87

A memorial service for Harry V. Davidson, 87, of Tecumseh, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville with Dale Roberts officiating. A graveside celebration of his life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at the National Cemetery in Springfield. Mr. Davidson died Feb. 15 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

He was born June 6, 1930, in Hardenville, the son of Jewel and Adreno Miller-Davidson. On Dec. 13, 1952, he married Loretta Johnson. He served in the Army and later worked as an ironworker and as an employee of Bryant Plastics and Ozark County Gas.

He was a member of Lilly Ridge Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and working in his garden.

 He is survived by his wife, Loretta, of the home; children David Wayne Davidson of Springfield, Carolyn Davidson-Trivitt of Clarkridge, Arkansas, and Gary Allen Davidson of Mountain Home, Arkansas; a sister, Alice Linville of Zanoni; a brother Lee Davidson of Gainesville; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Harold Davidson  and Gilbert Davidson.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled Americans Veterans charity.
