Gloria Jean Black, 71

Funeral services for Gloria Jean Black, 71, of Ava, were scheduled for 10 a.m. today, March 21, 2018, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava with Victor Williams officiating. Mrs. Black died March 16 at her home.
She was born Jan. 21, 1947, in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of Leslie Paul and Willie Agnes Louton Davis.
On Nov. 26, 1975, in Memphis, she married Jimmy Black. She was a retired phlebotomist. Mrs. Black was a Christian and a member of the Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed riding horses and was quite the animal lover. She also enjoyed gardening, and most of all, she loved being with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy, of the home; two sons, Brohn Black and wife Tammra of Ozark, and Channing Black of Ada, Oklahoma; grandsons Trystan and Cameron Black and granddaughter Megan Jackson; one brother, Ray Davis and wife Susie of Memphis; and other relatives and friends.  
She was preceded in death by her parents and two daughters, Britney and Shelli.
Burial will be in the Smith Chapel Cemetery north of Gainesville. Memorial contributions may be made to the family as a love offering. Online condolences may be expressed at clinkingbeardfuneralhome.com.
