Fern Erickson, 89



Fern Estaleene Erickson, 89, of Brenda, Arizona, died peacefully on March 2, 2020, at her home. Services will be held later. 

She was born March 25, 1930, in Osceola, Iowa, the daughter of Rolla and Delia Baker.

Mrs. Erickson was a longtime Arizona resident. An avid bowler, she also loved playing bingo and slot machines. She was an assistant to an Arizona state senator during her working career, but her  proudest achievement was raising her family. She was a woman of faith and a loving mother.

She is survived by her children: Vicki Rice, Will Rice and wife Connie, Jef Rice and wife Kathleen, Larry Barker and wife Faith, and Nancie Johnson and husband Shawn; siblings Herman Baker and Cheryl Loggins and husband Thomas, all of Howards Ridge, Beverly Sells, Jake Baker, Joyce Marshall and husband Walt; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry Rice; her brother, Galen Baker; her sister, Marna “Ronnie” Adams; and her grandson, Cory Kevin Clem.
