Emma Faye Ohm, 92

Funeral services for Emma Faye Ohm, 92, of Gainesville, were held July 16, 2019, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville with Dale Roberts officiating. Mrs. Ohm died July 12 at the Good Samaritan Society in Mountain Home, Arkansas. 

She was born Sept. 4, 1926, in Osceola, the daughter of Robert Alvin and Clara Bell Mayer Ballard. Mrs. Ohm was a very hard-working and self-sufficient woman. She worked for many years in the manufacturing of electric motors while raising her family. Even in her later years, she maintained her independence and could often be found outside doing yardwork and taking care of any needed chores. She loved fishing and trot-lining; she especially enjoyed catching big catfish. She also enjoyed baking for her kids and grandkids. 

She was a strong, confident, Christian woman who was loved and will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.

She is survived by one daughter, Shirley Sisney and husband Junior of Gainesville; two grandsons, Mark Lane and wife Nichole of Gainesville, and Jimmy Lane and wife Mary of Shirley, Arkansas; five great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ruby Prier of Higginsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, three sisters, one granddaughter and one great-great-grandson.

Burial was in the Howards Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks, 701 Burnett Dr., Mountain Home, AR 73653.
