Deborah “Debbie” Lynn DeGase, 53

Funeral services for Deborah Lynn DeGase, 53, of Gainesville were held Jan. 23, 2018, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava with Pastor Mike Vlad officiating. Ms. DeGase died Jan. 19 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Springfield.

She was born July 14, 1964, in Potosi, the daughter of Paul Lawrence and Marjorie Hedrick DeGase. 

She was a long-time resident of Gainesville Health Care Center in Gainesville. Ms. DeGase was a Christian and attended church with her family. She loved bass fishing with her dad and riding motorcyles with her brother.

She is survived by her mother, Marjorie DeGase, and her brother, Paul Douglas “Doug” DeGase, both of Squires, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her father, who died in 2008. 

Burial will be in the Murray Cemetery at Squires. Memorial contributions may be made to the Murray Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at clinkingbeardfuneralhome.com.
