Dara Lee Townsend, 78

A memorial service for Dara Lee Townsend, 78, of Isabella, formerly of Ashton, Illinois, will be held at a later date at Hilltop Victory Chapel in Thornfield. Mrs. Townsend died April 16, 2018, at her home.
She was born Dec. 29, 1939, at Macomb, Illinois, the daughter of Erma and Paul Hentges. On Nov. 23, 1958, in Macomb, she married David William Townsend. She was a homemaker, an avid quilter, a dance teacher and an avid reader. She had worked as a school cook, trucking dispatcher and co-owner of the Ashton Gazette in Illinois for 15 years. She also worked for the Cottage Resort in Branson.
She was baptized at the First Christian Church in Macomb and was currently attending the Hilltop Victory Chapel in Thornfield.
She is survived by her husband, David William Townsend; her two sons, Mitchell Raymond Townsend and wife Angela of West Plains, and Paul Lynn Townsend of Isabella; three grandchildren, Phillip, Skyler and Olivia Townsend; and four great-grandchildren.
