Boyd ‘Bo’James Hill, 29

Boyd James Hill, 29, of Isabella, died June 9, 2020,  near Thornfield, as the result of injuries sustained in a vehicle accident. A family celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

He was born Aug. 5, 1990, in Mansfield, the son of William Thomas and Vicki Lea Wichman Hill. On May 26, 2012, at the roadside park near Ava, he married Amanda Lakey. They were blessed with three children, Jaiden, James and Jaxson. 

Mr. Hill was a logger and tree trimmer, but family and friends knew him as much more than that. He loved working with his hands. He worked with his brothers, William and Brian Hill. His number 1 enjoyment was motorcycles. He loved to fish, hunt, pick morel mushrooms and, most of all, be with his family. His family was always first. He was a bright start who lived his life to the fullest. 

Survivors include his wife, Amanda; their three children, Jaiden, James and Jaxson; his mother, Vicki Hill; his father, William Hill; three brothers, William Hill and wife  Kristina, Brian Hill, and Ulysses Brummel; a great-uncle, Clifford Shafer; step-grandfather Troy Keen; and many relatives and friends.  

He was preceded in death by his great-aunt, Patsy Shafer; his grandmother, Frances Keen; a great-grandmother, Margaret Scott; and a great-uncle, Eddie Scott.
