LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Another request for road repairs

County Road 605, Center Point Road, has been in bad shape for a long time, and last week’s big rain washed out the last of the gravel. We saw our commissioner, Greg Donley, drive down the road after the rain, and we hoped he would send a grader to fix it, but it’s been over a week, and nothing has been done. Then there was another big rain Friday.
My wife couldn’t get the car out to go to work Friday because of the big rocks that had washed into the road. The one culvert in the road is completely stopped up with rocks and mud, and more culverts are needed so that the water goes under the road instead of over it. There are four major places where the road is in terrible shape, and we’ve about given up hope that the county is going to do anything about it.
