Tyler Houston Aronis, 21

Funeral services for Tyler Houston Aronis, of Springfield, were scheduled for 10 a.m. today, April 25, 2018, at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home in Springfield. Mr. Aronis died April 22 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, surrounded by family and friends.
He was born June 13, 1996, in Springfield, the son of Kathy Pohlenz Raines and Jonathan David Aronis. He graduated from Kickapoo High School in 2014 and subsequently studied at Ozarks Technical Community College. He worked at Mexican Villa from 2012 to 2018 and considered the owners and his coworkers part of his family.
He excelled at making people laugh by singing Britney Spears songs at an early age and secretly loving to be tormented by all his younger relativdes and an occasional older uncle or two. He was a fan of all things related to the University of Missouri Tigers and never missed an opportunity to wear a Mizzou sweatshirt. As he got older, his love for the Minnesota Vikings and Timberwolves gave him and his family great joy as he loved talking about sports to anyone who would listen. He touched everyone’s life with a special kindness and sense of humor that created a lifetime of memories for all his family. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his parents, Kathy Pohlenz Raines and Jonathon David Aronis; his stepfather, Buddy Raines; his stepmother, Tara Cunningham; brothers Jayson Aronis, Kenyon Aronis and Mayson Raines; stepbrothers: Devin and Konner Cunningham; and stepsister Brittney Cunningham; grandparents Alvin and Virginia Pohlenz and Paul and Carol Aronis; great-aunt Linnie Ingram of Tecumseh; and a host of adoring other aunts, uncles and cousins.
Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Republic.
