Phillip Edward Collins, 67

A graveside service for Phillip Edward Collins, 67, of Theodosia, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Rhoades Cemetery near Protem. Mr. Collins died July 4 at his home, surrounded by his family. 

He was born Feb. 16, 1953, in Rogersville, Tennessee, the son of Luthur and Thelma Lawson Collins.

He grew up and spent most of his life in Tennessee and worked many years as a truck driver. He moved to the Ozarks in 2012, making his home in Theodosia. On April 28, 2018, he married Deborah Brush.

Mr. Collins was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He was the kind of guy who could fix anything that was broken. He was an independent, strong-willed man yet very compassionate. He loved life and his family. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Christine Collins of Theodosia; children Shawna Ball and husband Wayne, Philip Shane Collins and wife Darla Davlin, Charles Allen Winwood and wife Jennifer Elaine, Kimberly Michelle Hensley and husband Farris; siblings Luther Collins Jr and wife Anna Faye, Douglas Wayne Collins and wife Gail, and Betty Sue Winstead; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 12 nieces and nephews; and special friends Perry Smeltcer, Clyde Parker, T. Gibson, Dean and Sharon Williams, Gary and Venassa Price, Steve and Mary Hug, Dave Seiter, Mark Barger and Brian Klukow.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Margie Marie Collins; one brother, Clyde Collins; and one brother-in-law, Bill Winstead.
